Welcome to ArkanPaws Animal Rescue, a nonprofit organizational effort dedicated to better quality of life for pets and their owners in central Arkansas and beyond. 

We want to be so much more than a rescue. Even though in and of itself, fostering and finding good permanent homes for our wonderful animals in Central Arkansas is fantastic, what we hope to achieve is much more multi-faceted. We hope to be a source of education, compassion and encouragement; a source for networking and inspiration, and a source for shared joy and sadness for animal lovers everywhere. And ultimately, we strive to be an agent of change; change in the way much of society views animals as "disposable", a change in the way the issue of local pet overpopulation is addressed, and change the opinion that rescues are competitive. 

We want to collaborate with our community to reach the common goal of helping as many homeless animals as possible through adoptions, and prevention through spaying/neutering. Here you will find helpful information that will assist you in locating a low cost or FREE spay/neuter program in the state, as well as a list of rescues to reach out to. 

Knowledge is power, and the power to evoke a positive change in the community is a beautiful thing indeed!

Through our contacts we have created a network that supports our cause and allows us to generate new ideas on how to continue helping animals.  

We have an excellent group of volunteers that move us forward in our mission, but there is always room for one more.  You can make a contribution and an impact too. Ask us about it!

A striking brindle Mountain Cur female, Marley is an intelligent, easily trained, energetic young girl approximately a year and a half old. She weighs about 50 pounds, is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. 

Typical of a Mountain Cur, she loves the water and long hikes! With summer coming up, she will be an amazing companion for your camping and hiking getaways.
